The Shift: Where Relationship got lost in Religion

Ok, so who has heard of these O2 Bars? You know where people have actually driven their cars to, paid money, and spent time socially breathing in good smelling oxygen, a natural gas that is not only a necessity for us to breathe and be alive as well as the bi-product of foliage but also is FREELY already ours and around us...just about every where.
Oxygen, as majority of the world's population know, is the natural gas that is a necessity for our bodies to function and be deemed "alive". We know that it is an existence that has weight and characteristics. Though it is unseen to the natural eye, it surrounds us. Our bodies involuntarily breathe it in while we carry on with our day. Very few times does a normal healthy person stop to focus on the feeling of the oxygen being breathed in, but if you "quiet" yourself, you can indeed realize the presence of oxygen around you. You can feel it as your lungs inhale and feel full. Whether we notice it or not, it is giving us life and function. Whether we stop to realize our breath breathed in or not, oxygen is still around us and still being breathed in. From a young age, we learn about oxygen; therefore, we understand the relationship we share and need with oxygen. We understand its importance to us.
BUT, what if somewhere in time, we stopped teaching about oxygen? What if generations were taught that oxygen was suddenly an option or something we only needed right before we suffocated? Something that was trendy or social? Something that costs money? Something that wasn't present all around us? Something that our very life didn't have a direct need of relationship with to function properly? What if we classified those that acknowledged the existence of oxygen as Oxygenians and chose whether or not we decided to acknowledge oxygen too?
... We would soon have generations that lacked fullness of their existence and a mix of philosophies about oxygen and ways to obtain it. We would have generations that were ignorant to the fact that upon each breath was the invisible gas that fed our bodies making them work fully. Some would have heard of it but not have understanding. Some would think you must go to an Oxygen bar to obtain it or experience it.
So, what's my point?
God led me and showed me this comparison to His original plan and relationship with us. He led me through a series of scriptures in the Bible and facts of world history that showed how through generations the relationship and original plan, His plan with us, got skewed into religious doctrine.
God was/is a necessity to the original makeup of our very existences. In Genesis, it is discussed of how God, Adam, and Eve walked together in the garden. There was closeness and direct interaction. Even after Sin, God was still present although sin had created a distance. We need Him to function to our fullest. Although unseen to the natural eye, He is always present. He has characteristics specific to Him. Our spirits need Him to function, and without Him we are dead to life and are suffocating in the existences of worry, illness, rage, hate, and the instinctive actions of the world alone. We are searching for love because it is in our original makeup to function within it. The absence of us acknowledging His presence doesn't make His presence absent,
Generations ago there was a shift in the need and desire of the presence of the Living God. People and societies, beginning with the Israelites, began making God an accessory instead of a necessity. They looked to Him when all was lost, and when things became easy or favorable they became distant, sought out foreign Gods, compromised their promises, sought out selfish ambitions, and their eyes got distracted by the tangibles; their perception changed. It narrowed and they forgot their original identity through Jesus. They stopped teaching what the LORD had done and was doing. Deceptive philosophies and "wolves" carrying a gospel of deception led and fed those that were hungry a poison. A poison that changed relationship to religion and religious ceremonial actions versus "raw" from the heart companionship in day to day life. This showed true even when Jesus walked the Earth. He came to bridge that relationship. To give glimpse of the spirit of the Father(Hebrews 1:3), the Living God because God loves us that much! Jesus, the Son of God, held reverent the ceremonial acts however talked and consulted with God daily. He did this as an example and because it is part of our original make up to live in this manner. Jesus laid down an example. My life and testimony has only proven to me that the King of Kings and living God loves to enjoy time with us. That companionship, friendship, and life together is what we were made for with Him. To be taught by Him, be given wisdom, to love and enjoy the things in which He has made. To wake up and realize His presence in our lives and tell Him "Good morning"; to acknowledge Him (Proverbs 3:6).
Attending church is great because it encourages growth and fellowship; however, if you are busting it into the building to hear your favorite worship song to experience the Holy Spirit or because you need that specific alter, I would like to ask, "Were you breathing oxygen the whole time?" or did you have to stop at the oxygen bar to have your supply for worship?
I encourage you whether you attend church, haven't stepped foot in years or ever, or have never experience the Spirit of God to seek God today, this week, and wherever you are. To make the conscience effort when you pick up your phone to see what's new or who reviewed a post, to acknowledge God. I encourage you that when "life" hits you or a loved one on Monday that you talk to God and pray and speak in the name of Jesus then and know that God is with you then and that you don't have to wait until Sunday.
God is all around us. Alive and living. So as I finish, this writing, May you experience God on a level like never before. May you "quiet" yourself so that just as you can focus on the breath and taking in of oxygen in your lungs that you may experience the presence of the Living God in your life!
Thanks for reading.
